Noorderboulevard verlicht!

By event

This Friday the project ‘Noorderboulevard verlicht’ wil be officially opened!
It is a large scale project I have been working on together with my sister Juliette Nielsen who is a lighting designer – beersnielsen. The sixteen light icons we designed show what the shopping area has to offer (bicycle shops, bread, coffee, fashion etc.) and hang above the two main shopping streets in Rotterdam North. The seagulls mark the pedestrian crossings.
A wonderful collaboration with the local entrepreneurs to brighten up the streets and enhance the positive shopping experience.
We have also designed light icons to mark the entrance of both streets and a set of signing light boxes.
You can view the project in the Zwart Janstraat and Noordmolenstraat in Rotterdam (preferably by night when the lights are on! :).

Client: Ontdek Noord / ondernemersvereniging Zwart Janstraat & Noordmolenstraat Rotterdam.

FIELD TRIP, New York

By event

We had a fantastic Field Trip show in New York on May 20. The atmosphere was super relaxed and positive, with lots of visitors and great decoration, food, drinks and beats…
I met some wonderful potential clients so I’m looking forward to future collaborations with US companies. Thank you all who dropped by!
Field Trip is a pattern and illustration event focussed on licensing.

“Versatile, cool linen separates, stylish swimwear and handy accessories, all in modern-retro, graphic florals in bright summer shades. Meet our collaboration with renowned pattern designer, Jessica Nielsen”.
Yay!!! The spring / summer women’s collection with my patterns is now available at White Stuff. It is fantastic to see my patterns on women’s clothing for the first time, especially on the 100% linen fabrics. Have a look at the collection here.
